and individual prayer and meditation for all Cliffs residents.
We strive to offer religious services and music as often as possible.The Chapel and Pavilion are the spiritual center for the Cliffs Communities.

2008 Upcoming Events: Worship
services are scheduled for Easter and each Sunday between May and the end of September. The
denomination of the ordained worship leader is shown, but all faiths
are welcome. Sunday morning Protestant worship services begin at
8:30AM. Special events may be scheduled during the week.
Sunday, June 29 - Rev. Ralph Kuether (United Church of Christ)
Rev. Ralph Kuether for the last fifteen years has been the Chaplain at Tryon Estates, an ACTS Lifecare-Retirement Community near Columbus, NC. Born in Ohio, growing up in Wisconsin, Rev. Kuether went to Elmhurst College in Illinois, graduated from Eastern Michigan University, and then Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri. He served churches in Illinois and Minnesota prior to coming to Tryon with his wife Penny and family in 1980.

The
Rev. Dr. Michael Doty is the rector of the Episcopal Church of the Holy
Cross in Tryon, NC where he has served since 2001. Prior to moving to
Holy Cross Father Doty was the Archdeacon for Mission and Church
Development in the Diocese of East Tennessee. He has been ordained for
seventeen years, but has been in full ministry within the Episcopal
Church for twenty five years, having served in administrative and youth
ministries prior to graduating from the School of Theology at the
University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. His wife Pam is the
Executive Director for Senior Programs in Polk County, NC and they have
one son named Isaac who is the lay youth minister at St. Luke’s
Episcopal Church in Cleveland, TN.

Dr. Charles Durham, a native of Arkansas, has degrees from Rhodes College and Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. He has pastored churches in Norfolk, VA,. Newton, NC. and for the last 17 years at First Presbyterian Church In Tuscaloosa, Al. He and his wife Sandy have two daughters and one grandson. Dr. Durham is a leader and a dedicated servant in the Tuscaloosa community. He is greatly loved for his caring pastoring as well as his inspirational preaching.
